1st day of school!

Another school year started today!! Is it really possible that my babies are in 1st and 2nd grade, I guess it is, because they are

Jared and Allison did a great job getting up really really early(6:15 A.M.) They get on the bus at around 7:10. I hope this excitement continues. Jared said that he was happy to go back to school, he really missed his friends. Allison loves school and learning, but is more excited about her new lunch box and eating at school.

Once again, I have to say how thankful I am for the wonderful program that Jared and Allison are in. The school staff is so supportive and will do whatever it takes to make sure that my children have great success at school. I know that many parents of children with disabilities have to fight tooth and nail for just the simple things, so we do not take this program for granted.

Great blog!! You have 3 beautiful children!! Keep it up with your blog!! Do you know the cause of Allison and Jared's deafness?

I noticed Allison was 10 weeks early, that must have been hard! I was 12 weeks early.

Hello again!! Of course you can add me!! I love meeting new people!
I was born 12 weeks prematurely as a triplet. Only 2 of us made it. We spent almost 13 weeks in hospital. My mum had suspicions about my hearing around 7/8 months, I wasnt responding as much as my sister who's hearing.
I was diagnosed as severely deaf at 9 months old. I got my first body hearing aids at 14 months. I did great with my hearing aids until the age of 7/8 where my left ear progressed to profound. I received my cochlear implant aged 10 in 2000. In 2002 my right ear progressed to profound. I still wear a HA in this ear as I can still hear through it.
Great news to hear about Allison! Wow!! She's doing great!
Take care to you all!! I am going to add your blog too!! Are the kids adjusting okay being back in school?
