Allison started Kindergarten today!! I was all prepared with my "you will do great honey" "Mommy will see you soon" and "It's OK to be scared" speeches, but as you will soon see I did not need them. Allison told me that she could walk in all by herself, but I drew the line there, she was not going to take away this special moment from me. We made it to her class, she hung up her backpack and bolted into the classroom. She found her name tag, put it on and was ready to tackle Kindergarten. I was able to get a quick hug and kiss before she told me"it's OK, Mom you can leave". I left, only to remember that I had forgot to tell Allison's teacher about her batteries for her implant, I went back into the room, only to be greeted with this wonderful phrase from Allison, "I thought you had left Mom". I guess I don't have to worry about separation anxiety-at least not on Allison's part, Mom on the other hand is another story.

Congratulations, Allison!!!
Good for her!
"Sounds" like she is off to a great start!
Yeah Allison (and Jared)! My daughter is very strong willed and her first day of Kinder. was my sons first day of 5th grade. I cried more he was going into 5th than her into kinder! Oh what we have coming when our babies start school!
