Olympic Diver

As a parent we are always looking for positive role models for our children, someone that we can point to and say "if they can do it, so can you". There is a diver who is trying to make the Olympics named Chris Colwill who has a 60% hearing loss and wears hearing aids. Yesterday he finished 2nd in the Olympic trials and is in a very good position to make the team. I will be watching the Olympics and cheering on the USA and my heart will swell with pride each time the National Anthem is played.

I didn't realize that - I'll have to watch for him! We'll be there with you cheering him on! The National Anthem always tears me up when I hear it!

OHHH an even better excuse to watch the olympics. I am so excited to look for this diver. I don't know what it is, but I just get so emotional everytime I see a hearing impaired person accomplishing these great things, I guess I will just always have a soft place in my heart for people who have gone through similar situations as my daughter.
